Where Payana comes from
Baaz was founded in 2018 by Chitresh Parihar in Bangalore, India, as a custom software and product-engineering firm - pairing a global product philosophy with India's engineering depth. Over eight years and across three continents, Baaz has delivered vision intelligence, application modernization, and AI data services to teams in 26+ countries.
Building vision-intelligence products taught us a hard truth: models are only as good as the data they learn from, and good training data is the hardest part to get right. Payana is our answer - a managed service that turns raw images, video, and wearable-camera footage into clean, versioned, training-ready datasets, so teams can spend their time on models instead of on labeling operations.
What we do
We capture real-world tasks on wearable cameras (or start from your existing footage), annotate every moment with AI-assisted labeling and human review, and deliver structured datasets in every major training format - COCO, YOLO, Pascal VOC, PNG masks, LeRobot, RLDS, Parquet and JSONL - with versioned train/valid/test splits and quality curation included.
